Poka-Yoke (Mistake Proofing Systems)

Trying to fix recurring errors simply by retraining employees may not be enough when the source of the error lies in the process or the system. When the same error recurs across different shifts or among different employees, it may indicate that the process needs to be re-evaluated in terms of mechanisms that prevent errors from occurring.

At QINAC Global, we use the Poka-Yoke approach to focus on taking preventive measures before errors occur in processes. By analyzing process flows and sources of error, we help develop mechanisms that reduce dependence on human error and detect or prevent incorrect practices as early as possible. In this way, we aim to prevent quality problems within the process rather than catching them at final inspection.
